In Happiness book that I read, I reached on the Hedonism Archetype method that make people happiness only on the present. In this method the author illustrate the hedonism archetype which is seeks pleasure and avoid pain and the errs in equating effort with pain and pleasure with happiness . The author mentioned story or 'event" of the old episode of "The Twilight Zone" which is a ruthless criminal, he is greeted by an angel sent to every wish. He list his desire for the angle ,he asks for money, favorite food, and beautiful women all these desire are appear for him but his life after he death is not seems good. Also, he asks for work that will challenge him and is told that is in this place he can desire wherever he want "Except the chance to work for the things he receives". The criminal was sad and told the angel" he want to go to other place" but angel threatening him with ominous laugher of the devil "This is the other place". the criminal thought he is in heaven an and he wants go to the hell. The criminal did all that things he wants to make him happy without pain.This event that I read it is interesting because the story is looks like real story from the natural live. Each person want to be happy without pain. Even me I want be happy all the time without feeling a pain I want every things in my live be perfect without any harm and pain.

" No pain, no gain" I really like this quote because I believe that suffering and working hard are necessary in order to achieve something.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Sukayan. every body wants live a happy life, but we cannot feel the happiness if we don't taste the sadness, and the opposite is true.
ReplyDeleteI am reading this book too. The author of this book has clever ways to deliver his messages to his readers. The good thing about this book is that most of his methods came form his own experience.
